Some IceCROPades Challenges For This Week

This is a busy week at The Scrapping Nook for the IceCROPades crop. It is our last week, so we have a bunch of challenges to do. Here are the four that I've done so far.

If is my layout for the "If" challenge. We had to use If as our title and journal about If. I was instantly inspired to use some of the lyrics of the Jim Croce song Time In A Bottle to begin my journaling. I love the Bisous PDQ paper. It looks so awesome with the added Stickles and Dimensional Pearls to give it some added sparkle. The heart was a wooden one I picked up months ago. I used Staz On ink on it to give it the nice red colour.

Sparkle is what I came up with for the Art challenge. I was inspired by the colours, the sparkle and the squares in the provided inspirational piece. I used a lot of Stickles on this one and my arm really didn't like me for it. Never try to do a lot of Stickles when your arm is already in pain.

This card was a scraplift of Tashers' card in The Scrapping Nook gallery. It is for the "Can I Get A Lift" challenge. The original card has stamped flowers, but I opted to use a chipboard one and a leather one. I'm quite happy with my version.

I Am Woman was created for the "I Am Woman" quote challenge. I love this picture of my Grandma taken on her wedding day. The Bo Bunny line looked awesome with the picture. I used several of my fabulous Fiskars punches on this one.

Three More Down, One To Go

I managed to finish three more IceCROPades challenges for The Scrapping Nook yesterday. I have one more that I need to get done today - hopefully this afternoon if things go well. Here are the three that I have finished.

I made this card for the Fabric Lift challenge. We were shown a section of fabric and had to take our inspiration from it. I used some Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye papers for this one. I'm not sure what I will use this card for yet, so the sentiment will be added later on the green paper.

A Thing of Beauty was for the "It's a Beautiful Day" challenge. While I am not a huge fan of winter, I do find something beautiful in icicles twinkling in the sun. It's like they are a work of art. I did the snowflakes on my Quickutz and accented them with my Gelly Roll Clear Star pen.

Just Splash is my response to the Spring Forward challenge. Nothing says Spring like splashing in puddles --- at least to me anyway :) This was an old paper from my stash. I accented it with 3D Crystal Lacquer.

Now I guess I better get to work on that remaining challenge.

Latest IceCROPades Challenges

Here are last week's challenges for The Scrapping Nook's IceCROPades online crop.

The Thank You card is my creation for the "It's Tool Time" challenge. I used a corner rounder punch, paper piercer, Tim Holtz design ruler, Crop-a-Dile, Cuttlebug and Cuttlebug embossing folder on this card. The Thank You is cut from a Bo Bunny paper.

My Happiness is You card is for the "Getting 'Felt' Up" challenge. I used my Quickutz stamp and a Studio G stamp on this one. The flowers and leaves are all felt. I cut the butterfly from a PDQ paper, added Stickles and pop dotted it on the page.

Li'l Heartbreaker is my response to the "I'm Seeing Red" challenge. We could only use shades of red on this layout. I love this picture of Sam taken for Valentine's Day this year. I used two of my new EK Success punches on this layout.

U 2 R My Heart was completed for the "It's A Material World" challenge. We were required to use material on a layout. I cut the big heart out of the cardstock, covered the opening with material, made a smaller heart for the photo mat, and created the flower using extra material. The heart cut from the Making Memories paper was covered with Stickles and pop dotted on the page.
