Finished Just Under The Wire

I finished my last IceCROPades challenge at The Scrapping Nook for this week just moments ago -- with about thirty minutes to spare before it was due. Yeah for me!!!!!

The challenge was called Top 10 and we had to use our top 10 scrappy items. Mine are:
1. Basic Grey Archaic paper --- my favourite Basic Grey line!!!!
2. punches - corner and border
3. circle cutter
4. chalk ink --- my favourite, ColorBox Chestnut Roan
5. ribbon - Maya Road (was part of my prize for being a finalist in their house contest)
6. American Crafts Thickers
7. Signo Uniball white pen
8. Ranger Stickles --- my staple one Star Dust
9. Prima bling --- love those dinosaurs
10. Quickutz dinosaur die

I also used a wonderful sketch by Dee Woodland that she posted as her Design Team sketch this week at The Scrapping Turtle. Love that sketch!!! Thanks Dee!!!!

Three More Down, One To Go

I managed to finish three more IceCROPades challenges for The Scrapping Nook yesterday. I have one more that I need to get done today - hopefully this afternoon if things go well. Here are the three that I have finished.

I made this card for the Fabric Lift challenge. We were shown a section of fabric and had to take our inspiration from it. I used some Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye papers for this one. I'm not sure what I will use this card for yet, so the sentiment will be added later on the green paper.

A Thing of Beauty was for the "It's a Beautiful Day" challenge. While I am not a huge fan of winter, I do find something beautiful in icicles twinkling in the sun. It's like they are a work of art. I did the snowflakes on my Quickutz and accented them with my Gelly Roll Clear Star pen.

Just Splash is my response to the Spring Forward challenge. Nothing says Spring like splashing in puddles --- at least to me anyway :) This was an old paper from my stash. I accented it with 3D Crystal Lacquer.

Now I guess I better get to work on that remaining challenge.

He's Coming to Hamilton!!!!

I'm so excited!!!!! Michael W. Smith is coming to Hamilton in May!!!!! Gary said he will take me to see him!!!! I can't wait!!!!! I really needed this pick me up right now!!!! Something wonderful to look forward to :)

The Colours of the Rainbow

One of the IceCROPades challenges at The Scrapping Nook this week was to use the colours of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet). I discovered this wonderful We R Memory Keepers Over The Rainbow line of papers at Michaels on the weekend and thought it would be perfect for this challenge. I hand cut some of the flowers in order to tuck the photo behind them. I added some Stickles to the flowers to give the layout a little more bling. Love this photo of Sara from last summer.

A Layout for IceCROPades.

This week we have a few more challenges to do than usual for the IceCROPades crop at The Scrapping Nook. Of the challenges we've been given this time, I have two done so far. Here is the second one.

Just Hanging Out is my interpretation of the Sketch challenge. We were given a cool sketch from Pencillines.com. I used some brand new Kaiser paper and my 3D Crystal Lacquer on this one. The large photo was printed onto cardstock, since I don't have any photo paper that is that size.  This is the first time that I have used a photo that big. I think I might try it again some time. The photo of the layout really doesn't do it justice.
